The Aryan Jesus in Nazi Germany: The Bible and the Holocaust
Join Professor Susannah Heschel as she shares her pioneering scholarship on how some German theologians in the early 20th century used racial theory to cast Jesus as an anti-Semitic Aryan in order to support anti-Jewish sentiment and Nazi ideology leading up to and during the Holocaust. Professor Heschel will trace the historical developments of this phenomenon and look at the implications that this has had for Jewish-Christian relations then and now.
