Jazz on the Green
A Summer Jazz Series at Turner Park
Neighborhood: Midtown Omaha
Jazz on the Green is an Omaha tradition that dates back all the way to 1975. Long held at the Joslyn Art Museum, Omaha Performing Arts moved the concert series to the newly renovated Turner Park in 2010. The park’s wide open green spaces and natural amphitheater are the perfect fit for this summer tradition, and it’s location directly east of Midtown Crossing makes the concert (and parking) easily accessible to all.
The FREE Jazz on the Green concerts are all held Thursdays at 7pm, though it’s recommended that you show up early if you want front row seating (venue opens at 5pm, free parking begins at 4:30pm).

The people that’s sponser this event… needs to get a handle on these PARENTS that’s letting their KIDS RUN WILD and not paying attention to what their kids are doing….They are to busy drinking and having fun………………that’s why they need a BABYSITTERS…This leaves their children running rapid AND TEARING THE LIMBS DOWN from the trees and climbing the pretty trees you have planted on the ground their. ….The Parents throwing footballs and playing baseball in front of people that’s trying to enjoy the band….. The parents not having respect for the people that comes out to hear the band play…and the dogs they bring out needs to be watch more carefully…So the event experience wasn’t good…
