Artist Jamie Burmeister produced Message Matters, a site-specific and interactive light installation at the Bemis Center  The work features computer-controlled lights that fade in and fade out in unison across 54 windows on the 5th and 1st floors of the Bemis Center and 6 windows facing the Gene Leahy Mall at the Fred Simon Gallery. The work is a Morse Code message that the public may respond to via text message.
